Develop an import schedule for updating People and Companies
PREMIUM If you are using MatchSync, skip this step. After launching Presdo Match for your event, People will most likely continue to register for your event. Develop a regular schedule for transferring new attendee and Company information via CSV files. The schedule could start off being weekly and become more frequent (every couple days) as the event draws near. When importing People, you can import CSV files containing registrants who have been imported before. When you import a new CSV file, Presdo Match will only import the new People and no duplicates will appear.
When importing Companies, if you import a CSV file containing a Company that has been imported before, one of two things may happen. If the Company information has never been edited by one of the Company Contacts, then the newer Company information will overwrite the older Company information. If a Company Contact has edited the Company information, then the information from the CSV file will no longer update the profile. This approach ensures that when Company Contacts assume control of their profile, their information becomes the most important. As an administrator, you can still edit any profile by clicking “Edit Company Profile” button in the participant interface.
Editing and deleting attendee profiles
In order to edit or delete an attendee, you will need to click "View Event" and search for the specific attendee by name in the People section:
Organizers can edit attendee profiles by clicking on the “Edit profile” button, which can assist attendees when they are setting up their profiles. Also, only organizers have access to the "Delete person" button in case that attendee is no longer able to join the event:
Attendees can edit their own profiles with the exception of their first and last names. The names can be changed by any event organizer, and organizers can also select a Badge for that attendee:
Editing and deleting Company profiles
Editing and deleting Company profiles is similar to editing and deleting attendees. In order to do this, you will need to click "View Event" and search for the specific Company by name in the Companies section:
Organizers can edit Company profiles by clicking on the “Edit Company profile” button, which can help assist Company Contacts with setting up a complete Company profile. Also, only organizers have access to the "Delete Company" button in case that Company is no longer able to join the event:
Company Contacts can edit the Company profiles with the exception of the Company name. The Company name can be changed by any event organizer:
Change an attendee’s email address
To change emails for attendees that have not yet logged in, you can delete attendees by searching for them when viewing the event and then you can re-add them in the Content section under the People tab with the correct email addresses.
Our system is linked heavily with the email addresses, so currently only the Presdo team can easily change the emails after attendees have signed in. Contact the Presdo Team with the names, old emails and new emails for attendees if you need us to make any of those changes.
